President Trump has been hailed by many pro-life groups, leaders, and even individuals as the most pro-life President ever. When he showed up at the March for Life 2020, the pro-lifers were besides themselves. And when he called for an end to late term abortions in his 2020 State of the Union Address, he was met with more cheers.
Now, I won’t argue that he is consistent with the pro-life movement, who is good at smoke but hasn’t even come close to quenching the massive blaze that is abortion. But Trump really hasn’t done much of anything to earn even pro-life fanfare since he is for exceptions and continues to fund Planned Parenthood.
Here I would like to document some of these facts.
Trump Supports Exceptions to Murder
Trump is okay with executing babies for the crimes of their fathers.

Trump Keeps Funding Planned Parenthood
Trump signed spending bills in 2017, 2018 and 2019 that continued government funding of Planned Parenthood. After signing the 2018 bill he said he would never do it again, but he did. Planned Parenthood’s latest annual report showed record revenues from taxpayers along with an increase in abortions.

In 2018, Trump said he would never sign another omnibus. But he did it again in 2019.

Article excerpts on the 2019 bill that Trump signed on December 20th, 2019 which continues funding to Planned Parenthood.

Republican majorities have been funding Planned Parenthood. This list does not include the 2019 omnibus that Trump signed on December 20th, 2019.

The Republicans may call themselves pro-life, but they appear to have no intent of defunding or ending abortion. Senator Rand Paul has called them out on their hypocrisy.
“Last year I tried to attach to a spending bill a prohibition to have any money spent by Planned Parenthood. You know what happened? They sat me down and one of the senior Republican senators said ‘we cannot have the vote today’. And I said ‘why’? He said ‘we might win’. I’m not kidding. Here this is a senior Republican sitting next to me on the floor of the Senate saying we’re not going to vote to defund Planned Parenthood because we might win. And I said ‘what does this mean’? I said ‘does this mean that passing your spending bill getting the Democrats to vote for your spending bill is more important than life?’ and he just smiled. See that’s what the thing is, you have Republicans that are more concerned with spending money than protecting the unborn.”
– Senator Rand Paul at the 2019 Faith & Freedom Coalition conference

Trump is Inconsistent on Life
Trumps State of the Union Addresses in 2019 and 2020 made the same inconsistent calls to end late term abortion while stating that all life is sacred and made in God’s image. If all life is sacred then he should protect all life, not just the small percentage of late-tern babies that are murdered every year. And what efforts has he made to even outlaw late term abortions?
“I am asking Congress to pass legislation to prohibit the late-term abortion of children who can feel pain in a mother’s womb. Let us work together to build a culture that cherishes innocent life. And let us reaffirm a fundamental truth, all children, born and unborn, are made in the holy image of God.”
State of the Union Address 2019
“I am calling upon the Members of Congress here tonight to pass legislation finally banning the late-term abortion of babies. Whether we are Republican, Democrat, or Independent, surely we must all agree that every human life is a sacred gift from God!”

Trump’s Justice Picks Aren’t Impressive
Much of the pro-life movement is blindly hoping that Trump will nominate another Supreme Court Justice that will allow Roe to be overturned. Not only is the overturning of Roe a pipe dream to begin with, Trump’s first two picks can’t even be counted on.

As elaborated upon in Planned Parenthood v. Casey, a woman has a constitutional right, as interpreted by the Supreme Court and the Constitution to obtain an abortion.
“Planned Parenthood v. Casey reaffirmed Roe, and did so by considering the stare decisis factors. So Casey now becomes a precedent on precedent. One of the important things to keep in mind about Roe v. Wade is that it has been reaffirmed many times over the past forty-five years.”
Justice Brent Kavanaugh at his nomination hearing
Even National Right to Life has admitted that there is only one justice favorable to overturning Roe, and it is neither Kavanaugh or Gorsuch (it’s Thomas).
“There is no objective evidence that we have more than one vote to overturn Roe v Wade.”

The Pro-life Movement Celebrates Trump

If you actually want to see abortion actually ended, please join the abolitionists.
Thanks for your thorough research and for exposing the truth that is hidden in plain sight. I pray that the “Pro-life” masses will wake up and see what I myself was willfully blinded to, not that long ago. Learning how to be a Christian Abolitionist, and how to recognize the corruption running rampant in the prolife establishment, has been a very real mind opener. And I have to thank people like you Carrie, for being patient with me. I hope that I can extend the same patience to prolifers who are ready to have their blinders removed, and to seek God’s truth, and fight for the most innocent among us.
